HOW IT HAPPENED
- With the match tied at 2, Southwestern led the remainder of the opening set to take a 25-18 first set victory.
- The second set was the most competitive as there were 11 ties and five lead changes before, trailing 16-13, Trinity rolled off six straight points to take a 19-16 lead en route to a 25-23 win.
- Trinity rolled in set three to a commanding 25-14 victory and closed out the match with a 25-20 win in set four.

NOTABLES
- The is the 18th conference championship for Trinity's program - the most by far of any volleyball program in SCAC history and tied for the fourth-most of any program in any conference sport. Only Trinity men's (21) and women's (20) tennis and women's soccer (20) programs have more titles. Trinity's men's soccer, which also has 18 SCAC titles, has a chance to move back ahead tomorrow.
- The championship match was a re-match from the last three seasons. Trinity won in five sets in 2013 and in straight sets in 2014. Southwestern won last year's conference title in four sets.
- The 16th-ranked Tigers will head to the NCAA tournament as an automatic qualifier. The fifth-ranked Pirates will have to wait for Monday's NCAA Tournament announcement on the hopes of receiving an at-large bid.
