CLEVELAND, Ohio - For the first time ever, the SCAC had three schools finish in the top 50 of the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings. DePauw University finished 26th, Trinity University was 30th and Centre College finished 49th - among 430 institutions - in the prestigious 2009-2010 Division III Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings. DePauw amassed 527.25 points in the standings, based on
NCAA postseason competition, while Trinity totaled 466.50
points and Centre totaled 308.25 points. Williams College won its
12th consecutive all-sports cup with 1,292.25 points. The
Directors' Cup program is administered by the National Association
of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).
Other SCAC schools in the final rankings include Southwestern
University (189.00 points - tied 98th), Colorado College
(126.00 points - 153rd), Oglethorpe University (72.25 points -
222nd), Rhodes College (55.00 points - 232nd) and Sewanee-The
University of the South (14.50 points - 309th).
