STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. - The 2010 SCAC men's and
women's golf championships got underway at Stone Mountain on Friday
with Centre College rising to the top of the leaderboard on both
the men's and women's sides.
The Centre men combined for a team total of 307 on the strength of
Chris Morris posting the low round of the day of 73. The Colonels
lead second place DePauw University by one stroke. Both SCAC
defending champion Oglethorpe University and Rhodes College are
lurking just three strokes back after each posting team totals of
310.
The Centre women posted a total of 341 to lead defending conference
champion Southwestern University by two strokes and DePauw by three
strokes. The Rhodes women posted a 349 and trail by eight strokes.
