KANSAS CITY, Mo.- Austin College senior Kola Alade, Centre College senior Danny Noll and Trinity University junior Luke Caldarera earned postseason recognition as the trio each earned National Association of Basketball Coaches Division III All-District honors, the organization announced this morning.
Alade was named to the All-South district first team while Caldarera and Noll were named to the All-South district second team. The trio were the only Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference representatives on the All-District teams.
Alade, the 2010 SCAC Player of the Year and first team All-SCAC selection, averaged 15.8 points per game (3rd in the SCAC), five rebounds per game, 3.04 assists per game (9th in the SCAC), and 1.7 steals per game (5th in the SCAC). He helped guide the Kangaroos to a school best 20-7 record and a berth in the SCAC semifinals last month.
Caldarera, ranked in the top 10 in the SCAC in numerous statistical categories including: scoring (15.0 points per game - 5th), rebounding (7.9 - 5th), field goal percentage (45.6 percent - 6th) and steals (1.41 per game - 9th). He was a first team All-SCAC selection in 2009-10.
Noll, who helped guide the Colonels to their third SCAC title in four years, earned first team All-SCAC honors this season. He averaged 14.1 points per game (8th in the SCAC) and 7.4 rebounds per game (6th in the SCAC) while also being named to the 2010 SCAC All-Tournament team. Noll earrned third team All-South honors last season. Earlier this month Noll was also named a finalst for the Jostens Trophy, the Division III most outstanding player of the year award.
