CARSON KIRK OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a freshman from Houston, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches player from Monday, April 5 through Sunday, April 11.
Kirk won both of his singles matches against SCAC opponents at No. 2 singles, beating TLU's Dristan Weaver 6-1, 6-1, on Friday and St Thomas' Race Haas 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 on Saturday to help Schreiner to a 2-0 performance over the weekend.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Cameron Krimbill of Trinity picked up a pair of line-one singles victories this past week, first on the Tigers' road trip to University of Texas-Dallas before hosting University of St. Thomas for conference action. The senior has won five straight singles matches, is undefeated against NCAA III opponents and has not allowed an opponent more than three games in any of his last 10 sets. First-year Anton Borovik of Southwestern went 2-0 at No. 6 singles with victories against LeTourneau and East Texas Baptist.
