KAYLEE CULPEPPER OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a senior right-hander from Carrollton, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 13 through Sunday, February 20. SCAC Softball Release - Week 3
Culpepper picked up the first win of the season for the Mountaineers in the circle, tossing a complete game, allowing just six hits and two runs with one strikeout in seven innings of work.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year Katelyn Moss of Centenary made three appearances over the weekend for the Ladies in the 2022 Warrior Spring Fling hosted by Hendrix College in Conway, Ark. including two starts. The rookie Moss pitched 10.2 innings and allowed six runs (only four earned) on 14 hits with four walks and six strikeouts. Moss leads the team with a 2.50 ERA and eight strikeouts. First-year Taylor McKenzie of Southwestern struck out seven through 12 innings pitched across two games, finishing the week with a 2.33 ERA. Senior Cat Patterson of Trinity had a stellar weekend in the circle despite being awarded two losses. The West Columbia native only surrendered two earned runs in 12 innings of work over the weekend. The senior recorded an ERA of 1.17.
