HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trinity jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the first set and never trailed in taking the set by the 25-18 score.
- Although Schreiner held early leads in both the second and third sets, the Tigers prevailed in both by the identical 25-12 scores. Trailing 9-7 in the third set, Trinity went on an 18-3 run to finish off the match.
- Trinity hit a decisive .536 in the final set with 16 kills and just one error in 28 total attacks.
- Schreiner was held to a .095 attack percentage for the match, including a minus .061 in the second set.

- Trinity's .412 hitting percentage was its second-highest effort of the season. The Tigers hit .415 in a 3-0 sweep of Dallas on March 20.
- In regular season play earlier this year, Trinity swept a pair of matches at Schreiner on February 27.
- In 21 past conference tournament appearances and dating back to 1992, Trinity is now 20-1 all-time in its inaugural match of the tournament.
- This was the first-ever meeting between the two in the SCAC tournament.
UP NEXT
Trinity (13-2 overall), which is currently ranked No. 2 in the nation by the AVCA, advances to take on Southwestern, which defeated Texas Lutheran 3-2 in the evening's other quarterfinal match. That match will take place at Trinity on a date and time to be determined the weekend of April 23-25. Schreiner ends its season with a 4-11 overall mark.
