LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- The second week of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball action continued this week with eight games on the schedule. 

Centenary (3-1) went 2-0 on the road at Schreiner recording a 79-75 victory Friday followed by a 70-67 victory on Saturday. Seth Thomas led the Gents to the weekend sweep, recording 24 points on Friday, followed with 17 points Saturday. Thomas set a career-high with 12 rebounds on Friday before breaking his career mark Saturday with 13. Schreiner freshmen, Darion Jones and DaRyan Williams led the Mountaineers Saturday, with Jones posting 15 points and Williams adding 12. 

Trinity (3-1) opened its home schedule by recording a pair of wins over Colorado College, 82-63, on Friday and, 65-56, on Saturday. Freshman Tanner Brown led four Trinity players in double figures on Friday, tossing in a season-high 20 points and adding six rebounds. In Saturday’s victory, Enzo Sechi was the lone Tiger to reach double figures, posting a career-high 19 points. In what was Colorado College’s Jeff Conarroe Tiger debut as head coach, Will Nisbet led CC by recording a career-high 15 points.

St. Thomas (3-1) was the third team to record a pair of wins as the Celts posted victories over Dallas on Friday (80-77) and Saturday (101-81). Juan Hood (20 points) and Christian Alaekwe (18 points) led four UST players in double figures on Friday. Saturday’s victory saw the Celts best shooting performance of the season as the team drained 16 threes while shooting 50 percent from beyond the arc. Adam Kanafani led the way with a career-high 21 points while adding eight rebounds. Dallas’s Jai Love led the Crusaders Friday by posting 20 points, and Dustin Mathis led the way Saturday with 29 points. 

Southwestern (1-1) opened SCAC play with a weekend spilt, adding an 81-69 victory over Austin College on Friday. Four of five Pirates starters scored in double figures, led by Kyle Poerschke with 18 points.  

Austin College, now 3-1 on the season, bounced back from Friday’s first loss of the season with a 77-65 victory over  Southwestern on Saturday. Michael Holland led the ‘Roos, recording a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds. 

The third week of SCAC Basketball action continues Friday and Saturday, with eight teams in competition.
