LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Schreiner University freshman Kaycee Bankert has earned SCAC Women's Golfer of the Week after an outstanding effort earlier this week to give the Mountaineers a top three finish in their first tournament.

KAYCEE BANKERT OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a freshman from Missouri City, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women's Golfer-of-the-Week for all tournaments through Tuesday, February 18th.
Bankert earned All-Tournament honors for the Mountaineers and had her best collegiate tournament finish, fourth, after shooting an 85 on Tuesday. Her two round total of 166 was one stroke ahead of her teammate Amber Hernandez, who finished in fifth place.
The 17th-ranked Schreiner Women's Golf finished in second place at the Linda Lowery Invitational on Tuesday with a 680 thanks in part to Bankert. The Mountaineers only trailed 6th-ranked Texas-Tyler.
