Trinity University moves up to fifth in latest NSCAA/Continental Tire Top 25 women's poll

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Trinity (Texas) University (5-0-1) earned the No. 5 ranking in the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Division III Top 25 women's poll, the No. 6 ranking in the D3Soccer.com Top 25 women's poll, and the No. 1 ranking for the NSCAA West Regional poll for week three.

Trinity posted a pair of shutout victories over the weekend, defeating UT-Tyler 2-0 on Friday, and blanking UT-Dallas 4-0 on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers have now recorded three consecutive shutouts, after starting the season by allowing a goal in each of the first three games. Both of Trinity's goals against UT-Tyler came in the final minute of each half, and then the Tigers had three goals in the second half of the win over UT-Dallas.

The Tigers will open defense of its SCAC title this weekend, hosting both Texas Lutheran and Schreiner in conference play on Friday and Sunday.
