LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Junior David Smith of Austin College has earned SCAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week for his efforts this past weekend in a huge win over conference foe Southwestern.

DAVID SMITH OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a junior from San Antonio, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men's Tennis Player-of-the-Week for all matches through Sunday, March 30th.
Smith went 2-2 on the week including come up huge in key moments to clinch a huge win over Southwestern University this past weekend.
Smith was instrumental in the 'Roos victory over Southwestern. He was first off the court as teammate Nick Diaz and himself picked up an 8-5 victory in No. 3 doubles.
Smith then came up big at No. 6 singles with the match tied at four. Smith took a three set thriller, 5-7, 6-4, 6-1, to give the 'Roos their second win of the season.
