Trinity 16th; Southwestern 25th in First Spring Golf World/WGCA Women's Golf Coaches’ Poll

NORMAN, Okla. –- Trinity University moved up one place to 16th and Southwestern University remained 25th in the first Golf World/WGCA Women's Division III Coaches Poll of the 2014 spring season.

It should be noted that the most recent tournaments had not yet been played before voting closed for the first spring edition of the Golf World/WGCA Division III college coaches' poll,

Methodist University, which begins its second semester of play in Georgia next month, sits atop the women's Division III poll. The Monarchs won their final three starts of the fall season, which helped them earn 20 of the 21 available first-place votes.

Washington U. in St. Louis held on to the No. 2 spot as it claimed the remaining first-place vote. The Bears also return from winter break next month with their spring opener in Arizona.
