VANCE FEUERBACHER OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a junior quarterback/linebacker from Plano, Texas, has been named the SCAC Football Co-Offensive Player of the Week for games played Saturday, September 20th. SCAC Football Release (Week 3)
Feuerbacher finished 28-of-46 for 500 yards and five touchdowns in a 50-33 loss to East Texas Baptist University in non-conference play on Saturday night at home. His 500 yards passing ranks third all-time for an SCAC quarterback in a single game. Feuerbacher also scored on a 2-point conversion run and punted and kicked off.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior wide receiver Westin Bruce of Hendrix had a career-day against Millsaps on Saturday, amassing 224 yards to set a new single-game high in receiving yards and averaged 56.0 yards per reception. His 224 receiving yards ranks fifth all-time in a single game in the SCAC. The junior also set a new program record with a 96-yard catch-and-run, and his second touchdown of the day came on a 76-yard reception. Junior wide receiver Xavier Williams of McMurry had four receptions for 125 yards on Saturday in a loss at Huntingdon, averaging 31.3 yards per catch with a touchdown. His longest play of the day was a 52-yard reception for McMurry's first touchdown of the game. Senior running back Weston Guzman of Texas Lutheran posted 143 yards on 20 touches finishing three yards shy of his career-high in rushing yards with two touchdowns to lead TLU to a come from behind win against Southwestern. Guzman averaged 7.2 yards per carry with a long of 65 yards which came in the fourth quarter for a touchdown.
