SETH THOMAS, CENTENARY COLLEGE, a senior forward from Kilgore, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Tuesday, November 5 through Saturday, December 9. SCAC Men's Basketball Release (Week 5)
Thomas led the Gents last week, with a game-high 27 points, 11 rebounds, two steals and one assist in Centenary’s 85-45 win over Millsaps. The performance marked Thomas’ first double-double of the season in the Gents lone contest of the week. He connected on 66.7 percent of his shots from the field (10-of-15), 40.0 percent from beyond the arc (2-for-5) and 83.3 percent from the free throw line (5-of-6). This marked the sixth time this season Thomas has poured in 20-plus points, and he has now scored in double figures in 33 of his last 36 games. Thomas is currently second in the SCAC, averaging 19.8 points per game, having reached double figures in all 10 contests this year.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior forward Trey Crawford of Colorado College scored eight points, grabbed seven rebounds, and dished out two assists in the Tigers 65-60 non-conference win over Belhaven last weekend. In addition, Crawford added one steal and one block in the Tigers only contest of the week. His efforts have lifted CC to four wins through seven games for the first time since the 2018-19 season.
