Hall led the Gents with a career-high 21 points in 27 minutes off the bench in last Tuesday's non-conference, 73-52, road win over Mississippi University for Women. He shot a blazing 8-for-10 from the floor, including a sizzling 5-of-6 from three-point range. Hall also collected four rebounds and added an assist in the win over the Owls. He is now averaging 10.0 PPG in 21.8 minutes/game with 3.3 rebounds per game. Hall is shooting 41.2 percent from the floor this season and 75 percent from the free throw line.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman guard Jackson Rennie of Austin College had a big week as the 'Roos went 1-1, averaging 20.5 points on 50 percent shooting from the field, 44.4 percent from three, and 87.5 percent from the free throw line. Rennie added 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists-per-game, and exploded for 31 points while hitting seven threes in the team's first win of the season over Ozarks. Freshman guard Scott Ruegg of Colorado College recorded a season-high 17 points, all in the second half, during Friday’s 80-70 loss to Sul Ross State. It marked the second time this season the first-year guard recorded double-digit points. Ruegg went 7-for-14 from the floor and 2-for-8 from behind the arc. He scored the final seven points to help CC close a 24-poine deficit to 56-51 with 7:43 remaining. Junior forward Darian Gibson of Schreiner poured in 22 points on 3-of-7 shooting, including 16-of-18 from the free throw line in a tough loss last week to Concordia. Gibson also added eight rebounds, four assists and four steals in the loss. Senior guard Kyle Poerschke of Southwestern hit a game-winning layup with less than a second remaining to give the Pirates a 78-76 win over Carleton last Friday. For the weekend, Poerschke averaged 18.5 points on 60.0 percent shooting from the field while grabbing seven rebounds per game. Senior guard Freddie Ricks III of St. Thomas scored 19 points and added five rebounds, three assists and one steal in a loss to Texas-Dallas last week. Freshman guard Isaac Orozco of Texas Lutheran had career-highs in points (14) and steals (5) in the Bulldogs lone game last week. His five steals raised his average to a team-high 2.4 per game. Sophomore guard Tanner Brown of Trinity led the Tigers to a pair of 100-plus point performances in the Tigers' Leslie Robinson Thanksgiving Classic last weekend, including a 32-point victory over Birmingham-Southern on Friday. Brown collected career-highs in rebounds (8) and assists (6) in the win over the Panthers and scored a career-high 25 points in an exciting, fast-paced matchup with Carleton College on Saturday which pushed his weekend scoring average to 19.5 per contest.
