Trinity Men's Tennis Jumps Up to No. 1 Spot in ITA National Rankings

SKILLMAN, N.J. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released the Division III National Team Rankings Tuesday. Fresh off of winning the ITA National Indoor Championship, the Trinity University Tigers jumped up to the top spot.

In the preseason poll, Trinity was ranked third, but leapfrogged over Amherst and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps with their strong showing in St. Peter, Minn.

The Tigers are currently 7-2 this season – 4-2 in outdoor competition – falling only to non-Division III opponents.

The Tigers next competition will be against Tyler Junior College, a team they fell to earlier this season, before traveling to Claremont, Calif. to take on No. 8 Kenyon, No. 25 Cal Lutheran University and No. 11 Carnegie Mellon in a power-packed weekend.
