PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - After the third day of competition from the NCAA Golf Tournament the SCAC was well represented with Southwestern in fourth place and DePauw University sitting at a tie for 13th. Individually Centre's Emily Bachert sits third while Rhodes' Stephanie Mingos stands at a tie for 13th.
Southwestern University shot a team score of 330 on day three placing the Pirates in fourth as a team heading into the final day of competition. Southwestern was led by Marisa Mauldin who shot 7-over on day three which moved her up the leaderboard from 13th to fourth. Mauldin will tee off tomorrow at 12:40 PM EST.
DePauw University shot a third-round 342 and are tied for 13th
with one round remaining at the NCAA Division III Women's Golf
Championships at the PGA Golf Club's Wanamaker Course.
Nine-time defending champion Methodist has a 19-stroke lead over
Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a 941. The Tigers are tied with Olivet
and Wartburg and are just seven strokes out of ninth place.
Erin Kielty leads the Tigers with a 243 which is good for a tie
for 27th place, while Natalie Gough is tied for 32nd with a 246.
Taylor Beaty shot DePauw's best round of the day at 82 and is in
61st place with a 253. Nikki Garza is tied for 77th with a 262 and
Kelly Gaughan is tied for 86th at 264.
Individually the SCAC was led by Centre's Emily Bachert who shot a third round 3-over on Friday good enough for third individually. Bachert will tee off tomorrow on the final day of competition at 1:00 PM EST.
Rhodes' Stephanie Mingos shot 13-over on Friday placing her at a tie for 13th heading into the final round of competiton Saturday. Mingos will tee off tomorrow at 12:50 PM EST.
