Rhodes and Centre headed to NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Rhodes College earned the SCAC's automatic bid and Centre College received an at-large bid as both teams will compete in the field of 61 in the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament. Complete 2008 NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament Bracket

Rhodes (14-4-1) opens play on Saturday against Illinois Wesleyan on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.  Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. CST.

The Titans finished the regular season 15-6-0 after dropping a 1-0 decision to Wheaton (Ill.) College in the championship game of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin tournament.

If Rhodes wins, the Lynx would play the winner of Washington (Mo.) University and Principia on Saturday at 5 p.m. CST.

Centre (12-5-1) will square off against Denison University on the campus of Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. The Big Red finished 14-4-1 on the season and fell to the College of Wooster in the semifinals of the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament. Centre and Denison met to open the 2008 season with the Big Red winning 2-1 in Granville, Ohio.

The Colonels will play the Big Red in an opening round match Saturday, Nov. 15 in Westerville, Ohio. Should Centre win, they would play the winner of Otterbein and Penn State-Altoona on Sunday.
