DePauw in Tied for Third; Southwestern Tied for Eleventh After Day One of NCAA Golf Play

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL - After the first day of competition DePauw University sits tied for third post a team score of 321 while Southwestern University stands tied for eleventh with a team score of 327.

DePauw was led by the play of junior Emily Kielty who shot a 5-over 77 which is good for a tie for ninth after the first day of competition.

Kristen Davenport shot a 4-over 76 to lead the way for the Pirates of Southwestern. The junior from Mansfield, Texas finds herself tied for sixth after the first day of competition.

Individual qualifier Stephanie Mingos of Rhodes shot even par after her first eighteen holes which is good enough for a tie for first place. Centre's Emily Bachert, who also qualified for nationals as an individual, shot a 7-over 79 which is good enough for a tie for 19th.
