SUWANEE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic
Conference released the seeds and bracket for the 2008 Volleyball
Championship Tournament November 7-8 at Rhodes College.
Live stats will be kept for every match and you can follow along at
the official website of the 2008
SCAC Volleyball Tournament.
The 13th ranked Southwestern University Pirates, 14-1 in
the SCAC, earned the #1 seed. The 12th ranked Trinity
University Tigers, 13-1 in the SCAC, earned the #2 seed while the
Colorado College Tigers (12-3 SCAC) enter the tournament as the #3
seed. Rounding out the top five seeds are DePauw University (11-4
SCAC) as the #4 seed and the Austin College Kangaroos, (9-5 SCAC)
as the #5 seed.
The host Lynx of Rhodes College (8-7 SCAC) , earned the
#6 seed followed by seventh-seeded Centre College (5-9
SCAC), eighth-seeded Millsaps College (4-11 SCAC), ninth seeded
Hendrix College (3-11 SCAC), #10 seed Oglethorpe University and #11
seed Sewane-The University of the South.
First-round action gets underway Friday November 7, at 11:30 a.m.
CST at the Mallory-Hyde Gymnasium on the campus of Rhodes College.
The tournament continues Saturday November 8, with action starting
at 9 a.m. CST.
