In the first match of her senior year, Gonzalez was in line one for the Celts and showcased her skills on the court taking a victory over Concordia's Kayla Pena in three sets. After taking the first set 6-4 and dropping the second 1-6, Gonzalez won the deciding set, 10-7.

Sophomore Trinity Hatchett of Trinity was instrumental in the the No. 16 Tigers' home-opening victory over NAIA Our Lady of the Lake Friday as her 6-1, 6-1 victory to open singles play at No. 6 set the stage for Trinity to drop the rackets for a 5-0 win.
