SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Four Celts recorded multi-hit games as second-seeded University of St. Thomas advanced to the program's first-ever SCAC Softball Championship game with an 8-3 victory over third-seeded Trinity University on Saturday evening on the campus of Trinity. HOW IT HAPPENED
- St. Thomas jumped out to an early 3-0 lead through three innings thanks to a pair of errors and a wild pitch.
- Trinity pulled to within 3-2 in the top of the fourth on the strength of an RBI single from Abigail Miller.
- The Celts answered back immediately as Mallarie Munson's two-run single pushed the lead to 5-2 in the bottom of the fourth.
- A Dawson Dabboussi single to right field cut the St. Thomas lead to 5-3 in the top of the fifth
- From there, St. Thomas added three insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth to provide the winning margin.
