Pandya mounted a thrilling comeback against LeTourneau's Fernando Vazquez, winning 2-6, 6-2, 14-12 at the No. 2 line. Despite being down multiple match points, Pandya's resilience and determination pushed him to a strong finish which ultimately led to the 4-3 win for the Celts.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Daniel Beckles of Concordia (Texas) collected a 6-0, 6-1 over Patrick Fenner of Austin College on court two to help the Tornados earn a 7-0 victory in conference play on Saturday. First-year Ryan Warren of Trinity led the 11th-ranked men's tennis to a 7-0 road win over Hardin-Simmons last week, improving the team's record to 3-0 to start the 2025 season. Warren clinched Friday's match with a 6-4, 6-1 victory at line two singles, putting the team up 4-0 at the time, and contributing to straight-set wins for the Tigers at all six singles lines. Junior Kento Iwahara of University of the Ozarks earned a 6-2, 6-2 victory against his opponent at John Brown University playing at the No. 1 singles position.
