TAYLOR LE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS, a sophomore outfielder from Houston, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Hitter of the Week for games played from Monday, March 1 through Sunday, March 7.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman catcher Brenna Kelly of Dallas had a nice collegiate debut series as she recorded hits in all three games for the Crusaders at Southwestern. She doubled in her first game, which was part of a 2-for-4 performance and swiped a bag. In the series finale, Kelly smacked a three-run homer to account for all of Dallas' runs scored. Sophomore catcher Hannah Kollmansberger of Schreiner led the Crusaders at the plate last week, batting .455 (5-for-11) with four runs scored, three RBI one double and one home run. Junior infielder Maddie Mefford of Southwestern helped the Pirates to a three-game sweep over Dallas, batting .444 with four hits, four RBI, four runs scored, three stolen bases and one home run.
