TRINITY PROVOST OF UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS, a sophomore from Beaumont, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 18 through Sunday, March 24. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 4
Provost was a force for the Celts at the TLU D3 Challenge this past weekend, taking first place in the 200m dash in 25.57 - breaking her own school record in the process. She also took third in the 100m dash locking in a personal-best of 12.46.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year Allison Fortman of Trinity ran a new personal best in the 1500 at the TLU D3 Challenge with a winning time of 4:48.11. She is now ranked third in the SCAC. Junior Taylor Norrell of Texas Lutheran ran a career-best time of 15.24 in the 100m hurdles to finish third at the TLU D3 Challenge and was the lead-off leg for the 4x100 that finished third. She also ran 12.80 in the 100 meters to finish seventh.
