ELLA FULLERTON OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a sophomore from Wayzata, Minn., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Co-Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 4 through Sunday, March 10. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 2
Fullerton shares this week's honor with Trinity Murdock of Texas Lutheran.
Fullerton finished fourth in the 800 meters at the Oxy Distance Classic with a school-record time of 2:13.22, the fastest 800 in Division III this spring.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Trinity Murdock of Texas Lutheran leads the conference with her time of 12.39 in the 100 meters, a time she posted this weekend at the UTA Invitational. Her time sits second on the NCAA Division III list. Murdock also anchored the 4x100 relay squad that finished second at the UTA Invitational. Sophomore Makayla Powell of St. Thomas placed third overall at the McNeese Cowboy Relays in the 400 meter hurdles. That time (1:08.89) breaks a school record that was setback in 2022 and currently places her seventh in the nation and third in the West Region.
