ZOË TOMLINSON OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior center from New York, N.Y., has been named the SCAC Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, December 9 through Sunday, December 15. SCAC Women's Basketball Release (Week 6)

Tomlinson recorded her fourth-straight double-double and her sixth overall this season after leading the Tigers to a win over St. Thomas, 57-54, on the road in the SCAC season opener. The senior center scored 28 points on a remarkable 84.6 percent shooting (11-for-13) and grabbed 13 rebounds while also adding three assists, two steals, and a block. The 28 points is the second most scored this season as she led the Tigers to their third-consecutive win and a 7-1 start to the year.

Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
First year forward Shyanne Phillips of Centenary posted an impressive double-double for the Ladies last Friday night against Millsaps at home as she grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds and scored 12 points in 28 minutes. She was 5-for-10 from the floor and 2-for-2 from the FT line with a steal as she reached double figures for the fifth time this season and had double-digit rebounds for the fourth time along with notching her third double-double of the year. Junior guard Kylie Flippin of McMurry led the War Hawks to an impressive 19-point non-conference win over Howard Payne last week. Flippin poured in 18 points behind 6-for-12 shooting, grabbed four rebounds and added two assists and one block in the win. Junior forward Madison Parham of Schreiner scored a game-high 23 points in a tough SCAC opening loss to Trinity at home last Tuesday. The 23 points are a career-high for Parham and the first time she has reached the 20-point plateau in her career. Junior guard Amyia Bowie of St. Thomas was a spark off the bench last week for the Celts. In two games, Bowie averaged 15.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and dished out 3.4 assists per game, while shooting 54.5 percent from beyond the arc. Defensively she tallied eight steals and one block over the two contests for the Celts. Junior guard Kylie Minter of Trinity continued her outstanding start to the season, leading the Tigers to a pair of wins, including a SCAC opening victory over Schreiner on the road. Minter averaged 18.0 points on 70.6 percent shooting, 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game. In the win over Schreiner, Minter grabbed a season-high seven rebounds and then followed that up with a season-high seven assists in the win over Dallas Christian.
