ZOE TOMLINSON OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a sophomore forward from New York, N.Y., has been named the SCAC Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, December 5 through Sunday, December 11. SCAC Women's Basketball Release (Week 5)
Tomlinson led Colorado College to an impressive 74-53 win at home over Austin College in the Tigers’ SCAC opener last Sunday. She recorded her fourth double-double of the season, registering 25 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. It marked the second time this season she has reached the 20-point plateau in a game and has now reached double-figures in scoring in all seven contests she has played on the year. Tomlinson also added a season-high three steals and two blocks in the win. She now leads the SCAC averaging 18.1 points and 11.1 rebounds per game on the season.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior guard Sarah Gwin of Austin College poured in a team-high 17 points on an efficient 8-for-16 shooting in the ‘Roos’ loss at Colorado College on Sunday. She also added four rebounds, tied a season-high with three assists and swiped one steal. It marked the third consecutive game Gwin has reached double-figures in scoring.
