JAMES SETTLES OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior from Claremont, Calif., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Cross Country Co-Runner of the Week for meets ran Friday, September 16 through Saturday, September 17. SCAC Cross Country Release (Week 3)

Settles shares this week's honor with Will Salony of Trinity University.

Settles
 paced the Tigers for the second consecutive meet, placing 26th at the 2022 Roadrunners Invitational in Denver, Colo., with a time of 24:55 for the 7.8 kilometer race. The race took place at 5,300 feet above sea level.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Will Salony of Trinity picked up his first individual collegiate victory as he led the Tiger men to a win with a 20-point score on Saturday morning at the Southwestern Showdown. Despite a technically-challenging course along with hot and humid conditions, Salony was able to power across the line ahead of a field of nearly 70 competitors, missing his personal-best time by just 0.2 seconds. Sophomore Carlos Cura of Texas Lutheran ran a personal best of 27:50.1 to lead the Bulldogs and take 11th place overall at the Southwestern Showdown.
