KATE BRUSH OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior from Greenwich, Conn., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during meets swam Monday, October 18 to Sunday, October 24. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 2)
Brush was a deciding factor on both Friday and Saturday, leading Colorado College to wins over Southwestern and Centenary. She scored five wins in her five individual events over the two days which included wins in the 200 free (1:58.90), 200 fly (2:14.45) and the 500 free (5:23.81) on Friday and the 200 free (1:59.57) and the 100 fly (1:00.06) on Saturday.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Brianna Brianna Serret of Centenary got off to a strong start in the Ladies' season opening meet - a double dual against Colorado College and Southwestern - this past weekend as she won the 200 back with a time of 2:13.88, earned runner-up finishes in the 100 fly (1:01.45) and 100 back (1:02.79), placed third in the 200 fly (2:22.15), and was part of Ladies' teams that finished fourth in both the 400 medley relay and 200 free relay. Senior Jesse Stovall of Southwestern, in this weekend's double dual meet against Colorado College and Centenary, picked up wins in the 50 freestyle (24.79) and 100 freestyle (54.98), and as part of the 200 medley relay (1:55.42), 400 medley relay (4:12.40), 200 freestyle relay (1:42.65), and 400 freestyle relay (3:46.73).
