WILL SHUFLIT OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a sophomore from Park City, Utah, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets ran Friday, September 6 and Saturday, September 7. SCAC Cross Country Release (Week 2)
Shuflit posted an 8K time of 25:42, placing seventh in a Division II competition field at the UCCS Rust Buster. Even though the meet was held at 6,109 feet above sea level, Shuflit was only nine seconds off his personal best.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Thomas Hughes of Concordia (Texas) lead the way for his squad at the 4-mile UT Tyler Cross Country Open. Hughes, who posted a time of 21:54.60, placed 20th overall and first among all DIII competitors. He set a new personal best time in the 4-mile and bested his previous mark by one minute and 25 seconds.
