JOSH WILLIAMS OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a sophomore from Alexandria, Va., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, April 1 through Sunday, April 7. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 6

Williams broke the school record in the 400-meter dash last Friday at the CU Invitational. He finished third in the race with a time of 47.62 seconds, surpassing his own mark of 48.01, set earlier this season. That time currently sits atop the SCAC and is eighth nationally. Williams also won the 200 meter race at the meet featuring mostly Division I competition.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Xavier Venious of Centenary recorded the Gents' top finish at the Pelican Relays hosted by Southern University on Saturday in Baton Rouge. Venioius placed fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with a season-best effort of 56.38, matching the time he posted last month at the Louisiana Classics. The 56.38 represents the third-fastest time in the conference in the event this season. First-year Price Schultea of Trinity ran a new personal best in the 200 at the David Noble Relays of 21.63. He also anchored the 400 relays (41.68) and 1600 relay (3:16.42).
