Ruegg led the Tigers to a perfect 1-0 week knocking off Austin College, 88-76, in the SCAC opener for Colorado College. He lit the stat sheet up, finishing with a season-high 25 points and five assists to go along with three rebounds, two steals and zero turnovers for the third-straight game. Ruegg shot 55.6 percent (10-for-18) from the field and 50 percent (5-for-10) from three-point land. Colorado College now sits a 3-6 overall and 1-0 in SCAC play.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior guard Braeden Board of Centenary led the Gents to a perfect 2-0 week with victories over Millsaps and Belhaven. Board averaged nine points on 50 percent shooting for the week. He also chipped in with three assists, three steals and two rebounds over the course of the two wins. First-year center Cristian Rodriguez of Schreiner scored a career-high 10 points and grabbed four rebounds the Mountaineers lone contest last week against UT-Dallas. He also added one assist.
