IRVING, Texas -- Colorado College, the second-seed from the Blue Division, was paced by Scott Ruegg's 24 points on 6-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc as the Tigers earned a decisive 89-64 win over the Gold Division's third-seeded Concordia (Texas) Tornados in SCAC semifinal Friday night at the 2025 SCAC Men's Basketball Tournament on the campus of the University of Dallas. HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia (Texas) opened the game on a 7-0 run over the game's nearly first two minutes. Colorado College answered with an 8-0 run of its own to take an 8-7 lead at the 16:22-mark thanks to a Scott Ruegg 3-pointer.
- The Tigers pushed their lead to 23-14 nearing the midway mark of the first half thanks to a Ruegg 3-pointer.
- A layup from Colorado College's philio, devin extended the Tiger lead to 19 (34-15) with 4:56 to play in the first half before the Tigers took a 43-28 lead at halftime.
- A Corey Thompson layup pulled Concordia (Texas) to within 49-40 at the 15:50-mark of the second half. From there, Colorado College used the next three minutes to push the lead to 20 at 64-44 after a tipin from Kevin Dittman.
- The Tornados fought back and cut the lead back down to 12 (64-52) at the halfway mark of the second half but could not get any closer as the Tigers put the game out of reach the rest of the way.
