KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Trinity (Texas) University retained the No. 1 ranking in the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Division III top 25 poll for week five. Colorado College joined the poll as the Tigers checked into the poll tied for 25th.
The Tigers opened swept a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference weekend by beating Centenary College 3-1 before finishing the weekend with a 5-1 win over Austin College.
Thanks to its two wins last week, the Colorado College Tigers entered the NSCAA Top 25 poll for the first time this season. Colorado College checked in for a tie for 25th.
In the D3soccer.com top 25 poll, Trinity remained No. 1 for a second consecutive week. Colorado College is among other teams receiving votes in the D3soccer.com poll this week.
With the its 2-0-0 week last week, Trinity improved to 10-0-1 and 4-0-0 in SCAC play on the season. The Tigers return to action on Oct. 6 and 7 when they travel to SCAC foe Southwestern (La.) and host Mary Hardin-Baylor, respectively.
The Colorado College Tigers are now 8-3 overall and 2-1 in SCAC competition. Colorado College returns to action on Oct. 5 and 7 when they host Austin College and Centenary, respectively.
