KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Trinity University moved up two spots into a tie for first in the fourth regular season National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Division III top 25 poll.
The Tigers opened up Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play by beating the University of Dallas 6-2 before finishing the weekend with a 5-0 win at Southwestern University. The wins extended Trinitys winning streak to five matches. Trinity has now won five of its six games by shutout and has yielded just three goals the entire season.
Trinity also jumped up one spot to No. 2 in this week's D3soccer.com top 25 poll. The Tigers continue SCAC play on Sept. 28-30 when they travel to Centenary (La.) and Austin College, repsectively.
