Colorado College 17th; Southwestern 25th in AVCA national rankings

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Colorado College fell one spot to 17th while Southwestern University remained in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) top 25 rankings at 25th this week.

The Tigers, who last week were ranked 16th in the AVCA rankings, went 2-1 during the  opening weekend of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play. Colorado College's lone loss was a 3-2 decision to Trinity University. The Tigers improved to 10-4 on the season.

Southwestern went 3-0 at the season's first SCAC Divisional. The Pirates now stand at 11-4 on the season. Southwestern remained at 25th in this week's rankings.
