KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Trinity (Texas) University retained the No. 1 ranking in the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Division III top 25 poll for week six. Colorado College moved up a spot to 24th this week.
The Tigers beat Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Southwestern University, 2-0 before finishing the weekend with a 3-0 win over Mary Hardin-Baylor.
Thanks to its two wins over Austin College and Centenary College last week, the Colorado College Tigers moved up one spot in the NSCAA Top 25 poll this week. Colorado College checked in at 24th.
In the D3soccer.com top 25 poll, Trinity remained No. 1 for a third consecutive week. Colorado College is among other teams receiving votes in the D3soccer.com poll this week.
With the its 2-0-0 week last week, Trinity improved to 12-0-1 and 5-0-0 in SCAC play on the season. The Tigers return to action on Oct. 12 and 14 when they host SCAC foe Austin College and Centenary, respectively.
The Colorado College Tigers are now 10-3 overall and 4-1 in SCAC competition. Colorado College returns to action on Oct. 12 and 13 when they travel to Dallas to square off against UC-Sant Cruz and the University of Dallas, respectively.
