KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Trinity (Texas) University remained third in the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Division III top 25 poll for week nine, while Colorado College fell out of the top 25 rankings this week.
Trinity went 1-0-1 on the week, including 0-0-1 in SCAC play as the Tigers tied Southwestern University, 2-2 on Friday. The Tigers then wrapped up the week with a 5-0 non-conference win over the University of California-Santa Cruz.
Colorado College fell out of the rankings by going 1-1-0 in two SCAC games last week. The Tigers were upset by Centenary College, 1-0 before salvaging the weekend with a 2-0 road win at Austin College.
In the D3soccer.com top 25 poll, Trinity fell one spot to No. 3. The Tigers had been the top ranked team for four consecutive weeks. Colorado College fell out of the top-25 but is among other teams receiving votes.
Trinity improved to 16-0-3 and 8-0-2 in SCAC play on the season and will be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming SCAC tournament. The Tigers return to action on Nov. 3 when they face the winner of the Austin College vs. University of Dallas match.
The Colorado College Tigers are now 13-4-2 overall and 6-2-2 in SCAC play. Colorado College returns to action on Nov. 3 in the SCAC tournament against the winner of the Southwestern vs. Centenary match.
