LEXINGTON, Ky. - Colorado College remained 19th
while Southwestern University continued to receive votes in the
American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) top 25 rankings for
week nine of the 2012 season.
The Tigers had the week off. Colorado College is 21-8 overall and
8-2 in SCAC play on the season. The Tigers are 8-2 in their last 10
matches. Colorado College earned the No. 1 seed and will host the
2012 SCAC volleyball tournament. The Tigers will play the winner of
the Austin College vs. University of Dallas on Nov. 2.
Southwestern is among others receiving votes (No. 27 ). They went 3-1 overall during the week. The Pirates now stand at 22-10 overall and 7-3 in league play on the season and are 7-3 in their last 10 matches. Southwestern will open up the SCAC tournament as the No. 3 seed and plays No. 6 see Centenary College on Nov. 2.
