LEXINGTON, Ky. - Colorado College jumped fell
one spot to 19th while Southwestern University received votes in
the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) top 25 rankings
for week eight of the 2012 season.
The Tigers, who last week were ranked 18th in the AVCA rankings,
went 3-2 during the week of Oct 15-21 as they picked up three SCAC
wins. Colorado College is now 21-8 overall and 8-2 in SCAC play on
the season. The Tigers are 8-2 in their last 10 matches.
Southwestern dropped out of the poll, however, the Pirates are among others receiving votes (No. 26 - three points out of 25th). They went 2-2 overall during the week. The Pirates now stand at 19-9 overall and 7-3 in league play on the season and are 7-3 in their last 10 matches. Southwestern was ranked 22nd in last week's rankings.
