SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Fifth-seeded and host Trinity University used a dominant pitching performance from Jordan Arce as she tossed a one-hit, eight strike out complete game shutout in the Tigers' 1-0 victory over fourth-seeded Centenary College in the opening round of the 2023 SCAC Softball Championship. HOW IT HAPPENED
- Carsyn Lee doubled in the top of the fourth and then was lifted for a pinch runner in Sydney Watson.
- Watson advacned to third on a wild pitch. Abigail Miller grounded out to shortstop for the second out.
- Williams then delivered the game's only run with a single down the right field line that scored Watson.
- Arce was dominant in the pitcher's circle as she struck out eight and allowed just one hit over seven innings.
