MACKENZIE LOGAN OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior outside hitter from Alberta, Canada, has been named the SCAC Volleyball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, October 16 through Sunday, October 22. Logan led the 11th-ranked Tigers to a 3-0 weekend in SCAC play, keeping TU undefeated atop the conference standings, and extending the team's winning streak to 20 matches. Logan averaged 4.50 kills per set and hit .340 over the weekend, which are both her best weekly averages this season. She finished with 18 kills and a .548 hitting percentage in the three-set win over Dallas, setting her new season-high in hitting percentage for a single match. Logan also tied her career-best mark with 21 kills in the win over Austin College later that day.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior outside hitter Isabella Lipacis of Colorado College led the Tigers with 33 kills and 72 service receptions as CC went 3-0 last weekend to secure a spot in the SCAC Tournament. She hit .333 for the weekend, averaging 3.00 kills and 3.4 points per set, and added three service aces. First-year outside hitter Giana Hilliard of Schreiner had 31 kills (2.58 per set) as the Mountaineers posted a 2-1 week in conference play.
