MADDIE WIETSTRUCK OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Houston, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 20 through Sunday, March 26. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 4
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year Emagen Styra of Texas Lutheran took first place at the D3 Challenge in the shot put with a PR of 11.97m (39-3 1/4). She holds the top position in the SCAC in the event, is fourth in the West Region and 26th in Division III. She also had a PR in the discus and competed in the hammer at the meet. First-year Claudia Davis of St. Thomas set a new season best in the long jump with a mark of 5.07m. She led all Division III jumpers at the meet and finished ahead of six Division I competitors. Junior Maddie Schonberg of Centenary finished 10th in the shot put (8.81m) and 11th in the discus (24.57m) at the Dan Veach Invitational.
