SUWANEE, Ga. - With upgraded technology
provided by PrestoSports, the Southern Collegiate Athletic
Conference (SCAC) introduced today an enhanced scoreboard feature
for its fans.
The new scoreboard can be viewed here, or by clicking on
SCOREBOARD along the top header of each page.
Events updating live in the PrestoSports Network (either with in
progress scores or in progress stats) will update in the
new scoreboard.
"We continue to be impressed with the advances that PrestoSports
makes available to its clients," said SCAC commissioner Dwayne
Hanberry. "We feel like this added value will only enhance the
experience for the thousands of visitors who come to
our website on a daily basis in search of the latest
information regarding SCAC teams and
student-athletes."
The key to the new SCAC scoreboard is its ease-of-use and
interactive capabilities. Some of the newest features of the
scoreboard include:
- a filter by sport
- automatic refresh when events are in progress
- integration with statistics
- links to schedules, player stats and team stats
- a mobile friendly view
"With our new live scoreboard, conferences can now give their fans a truly interactive experience when looking at scores and stats," said Greg Blake, Director of Site Developement for PrestoSports. "When you look around at other conference sites, there is no interactive scoreboard option like this available where all the scores and stats fit perfectly in the body of a site. During site designs, we always stress the importance of making sure users can easily navigate around your site, and this fits right within those standards."
Every event's score and stats will be updated in real time while the stat files are being pushed to the PrestoSports Network. And since it is not flash-based, SCAC fans will be able to follow scores from the scoreboard on their iPad and iPhones.
