CONWAY, Ark. - Hendrix College senior infielder Clark Sims became the 34th player in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference to join the 200-career hits club thanks to a 3 for 4 performance against No. 4 Trinity University this afternoon.
Sims becomes the first player in the SCAC to join the 200 hit club in 2012. He finished the three game series with Trinity by batting .636 (7 for 11) with two RBI and four runs scored.
Sims becomes just the third player in school history to join the SCAC 200-career hit club. He joins Daniel Ward (2006-09/201 hits) and Billy Schewe (1998-01/203 hits) as the only other players in Hendrix history with 200 or more career hits.
