Tenn. - Third seeded Centre
College, thanks to Courtney Kuiper's game winning goal with 20
seconds left in regulation, advanced to the 2011 Southern
Collegiate Athletic Conference championship game with a 2-1 win
over second seeded Hendrix College.

The Colonels advance to their third SCAC championship game and will take on top seed and host Rhodes College tomorrow at 11 a.m. CT. Centre will look for its second all-time SCAC field hockey championship.
Centre took a 1-0 halftime lead thanks to Sarah Jessee. Jessee found the back of the net with 18:56 left in the half. Jessee's goal was an unassisted score.
Centre maintained their 1-0 lead until the 56th minute when Hendrix's Lauren Thorburg tied the game for the Warriors.
Both teams played solid defense and looked like they were headed for overtime until Kuiper sealed the win at 69:40 of the second half.
With the win, Centre improves to 11-7 while Hendrix sees its season end at 10-5.
