Centre moves to sixth after Day Two of NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship

ANGOLA, Ind. - The Centre College women's golf team finished its second of four days of play at the 2012 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship at Zollner G.C. in Angola, Ind., hosted by Trine University. After ending yesterday's round tied for seventh, the Colonels currently own sole possession of sixth place. Complete Second Round Results

Centre posted a combined team score of 319 on day 2 to bring their total score to 636 through the first two days. The Colonels are four shots behind fifth place Mary Hardin-Baylor and six shots behind fourth place Williams College. After that, climbing the leaderboard will be a more difficult challenge for Centre with Wisconsin-Eau Claire in third place, 14 shots in front of the Colonels.

Individually, senior Emily Bachert posted her second consecutive round of 76 to move into a four-way tie for fourth place on the leaderboard. Freshman Michaela Manley and junior Whitney Miller each had nice bounce back days with respective rounds of 78 and 79. Freshman Alyssa Brown rounded out the scoring with a round of 86.
