EVANSTON, Ill. - The College Swimming Coaches
Association of America recently honored 10 Southern Collegiate
Athletic Conference men's & women's swimming & diving teams
with All-Academic honors for the completed 2011-12 academic
year.
To be selected, teams must have maintained a 3.0 grade point
average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale.
The SCAC was represented by both the men's and women's teams from Colorado College, Hendrix College, Sewanee: The University of the South and Southwestern University. The Austin College women and the Trinity University women were also honored.
The Southwestern women's team posted the
second-highest GPA (3.69) among the 123 total women's teams
listed. The Colorado College men were tops among conference
teams with a 10th-place nation finish (3.45 GPA).
