JOY AREOLA OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Houston, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Field Co-Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, April 3 through Sunday, April 9. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 6
Areola took third in the triple jump with a mark of 11.36m at the David Noble Relays. She also took ninth in the long jump with a mark of 5.21m. These are both conference-leading marks and her triple jump mark is 21st in the country.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year Emma Jones of Colorado College tied for seventh in the high jump with a personal-best height of 5'0.25", tied for the top mark in the SCAC, at the Kit Mayer Invite in Golden, Colo., last Saturday. Areola took third in the triple jump with a mark of 11.36m at the David Noble Relays. She also took ninth in the long jump with a mark of 5.21m. These are both conference-leading marks and her triple jump mark is 21st in the country.
